Hi! I have 2014 ST version, and I hear some annoying rattling noises somewhere from the dashboard whem I'm not driving a flat road: e.g. a cobbled roadway etc.
It's not the stuff in my glove box, nor the lock of the glove box. I've tried holding the air deflectors but it's not them. Actually, I've tried holding everything I could possibly touch at the front but it did not help.
Maybe someone had such experience and has possibly found a solution for it?
It would be very nice if you could propose anything that might cause such noises and har is worth checking. Thanks beforehand!

from another post:

Dash rattle cured

If you drive with the steering wheel set on the highest position lower it down fold a car sponge in half pop it in the gap between the steering wheel and dash lift steering wheel to top position and lock, no more dash rattle (worked for me anyway).

Sorry, i cant post links...

Currently i have same issue and now i have car in service to solve that. I have car still in warranty and sponge isnt solution for me :)

Dials need to come out and some padding needs to be put behind them. That's the real fix.

this is a known fault that the dealers are aware of. mine went in for this, they took instrument cluster off, couldn't find anything, put it back, but this seems to have fixed the rattle.... so far....

There seems to be a rattle on the silver trim insert that goes around the screen.
Its at the bottom left where it's a sharp point.
Sometimes it's also that which makes a noise, if you push down on that bit it stops

I also have this dash rattle. As its a new car and within warrant period, how do I arrange to get this fixed? Just call them up? Would I still need to pay their fee for a courtesy car like you do when getting it serviced?

just phone dealer, all is free at my dealer although i've heard there is a charge at others. You do have excess to pay if you damage the car, (I would do a walk round vid before and after just to cover myself) £500 or my dealer charges £50 upfront to reduce it to £50 I think - overheard them and customer the other day whilst i was in there

Wanna revive this. My 4 week old, 5door, Cupra 290 makes these exact noises coming either from the instrument cluster or somewhere round that area (it could also come from the upper part of the door).

Sounds somewhat like a plastic window out of place. Anything I hold down doesn't change a thing. Anyone experienced something similar? Gonna get it to my dealers' next week but any hints to reduce service time is appreciated.

I was not able to fix this issue since the thread started.
The guys from service tried to find the problem, charged a fine for that, but the rattle is still there.
