November ! one of those cars that I should have kept haha but it had done 190k, the mk5 is nice and the colour is amazing but its not worth what im paying monthly and the power is pathetic !

190k wow! Haha. Was a respray wasn't it? Must have set you back a pretty penny! Haha. Yeah, I'd have to get a Cupra Mk5 if I was to get one :).

Those wheels look stunning mate.

so they are 17s x 8.25 with spacers.

How big spacers? Would they fit without clearance problems with the front arches you reckon?+ Big brake kit?

Have always been looking for concave wheels that could replace my Cupra wheels without any luck ! :(

Got a flip key off eBay. Got it cut. Took the transponder out my spare key and put it in this one. Programmed it to my car :).

I managed to get the fob and got the key cut. Mine didn't come with a circuit board for the keys so I did a bit of d.i.y and adapted the board from my original key. Problem I'm having is when I bought the car I only got 1 key (the remote one) and saw through YouTube in order to program it you need the spare key.

I tried to program it without but because the transponder is no longer in the original key, it will only go as far as ignition. Of I try to start it, it just conks out.

I went to the dealers this morning to see if they'd sting me as much as I thought they would. They informed me that it would be £45 diagnostics fee and £120 for the key and recode :-/ if it just needs the recode the price will be covered by the diagnostics fee.

I wondered what would be the case if I just bought a spare key and transponder to do the process but after buying a key transponder and cutting the key it would probably equate to about 30-40 on top of the original 20 I spent on the fob case and getting the key cut.

Any suggestions? As now I just have a fancy flip key with no joy of being able to use the central locking...

Going to upload pics of my car as well from how I bought it to now with the small mods I've done so far.

Thanks! :).

7mm spacers just to clear the shock. Scrubs a little but I don't mind. Fits round my 312's, I want to try some 4 pots in future but who knows! Haha.

I think you need to get someone in the trade to program the transponder to your car, not something you can do due to it being a new transponder! :).
