Rcd 510 start up screen

Ive just been attempting to instal an rcd 510 in my 56 plates leon fr. Up to now all is well but I srill have to check for battery drain and replace the roof aerial for my dab one.
What I didnt expect was the start up screen to autimactcally change to the seat start up screen !
When I first installed it the display was the standard volkswagen one. Then when I restarted, it changed to seat audio system 3.0. I always thought this had to be changed by creating a boot up disc. Wonder if its set by tge can bus

May I ask what process you used to restart the RCD510? I'm trying to restart mine to try and get it to accept some coding but having no luck.

have you had the rcd 510 working or are you installing it for the first time? If its for the first time you need to feed another live to pin 16. Think its labelled as CODE on the rcd 510

I put it in about 10 weeks ago maybe and added a 7N0 CAN gateway at the same time. It all seems to work OK, the only exception is I cannot tick telephone prep in VCDS now I have installed a FISCON. I keep being told it needs to be restarted but I have not yet managed to work out how to do this (or if my idea of what should happen when restarted is different to what actually happens).
I was especially interested to read that the start up screen had swapped to a Seat one when you had installed into your mate's car.
