hi all I'm thinking of buying a arosa 1.0 for a daily as I'm taking my mk3 ibiza Cupra off the road, what sort of mpg do you guys get out of the 1.0??, like for example how far do u get on £20??, or how many miles from a tank do you get??, just trying to way up buying a small petrol engined car or buy a bigger VAG tdi
thanks Jay

I can expect to get just over 100 miles to £20 but really does depend on how you drive it.
a full tank i can expect to get just under 300 miles too.

Works out to a soild 40mpg but the car has to be running right! I had coilpack/o2 sensor issues which was giving me about 25mpg!
All sorted now though.

As i don't really use the car on motorways most of not all my driving is down around town.

If you want the best mpg your better off getting the 1.4tdi
the 1.0 isn't bad for what it is, its quite torquey so getting to 40 is easy enough but it runs out of puff pretty fast past that so if your doing alot of motorway miles that might become tiresome.

they are pretty bullet proof though as they are simple engines.

I get a solid 45mpg out of my 1.4tdi and i drive it hard both on and off the motorway, they cost a little extra but the £30 a year road tax is awesome.
