Lamin-x all the way. I had flyeyes on the front and rear lights on my mk1 Cupra and it does look good from a distance but up close not so good.

I quite like the close up look of it. I know what you mean though, bit of a marmite thing I guess

I take it there's no problems with MOT's using Lamin-X?

I'm not 100% sure, this is what they state on the website regarding being road legal.

"Our coloured/tinted headlamp protection films may not be legal for road use on primary lighting in your country. An off-road use disclosure is hereby declared as our light protection films are manufactured for motorsport use. Please check your local laws before application if you have concerns. Installation of our tinted protection film on your headlights, indicators or fog lamps is done so at your own risk. The law/Mot hand book within the*UK*states that front primary lighting must produce a White or Yellow light. There is no documentation about the colour of the actual lens. Our*Amber*tinted indicator turn signal protection film produces an orange light.Our*Clear/GunSmoke/OpticBlue/SubtleTint*light protection films all produce a legal natural light colour, and ourYellow*produces a Yellow tinted light which is of course perfectly legal within the UK.None of our light protection films change/adjust the beam pattern. Our GunSmoke light protection film can reduce light output in some cases with older vehicles."

I can't see why it wouldn't pass an mot as long as the light output hasn't been reduced. I fitted it to my headlights and upgraded to HIDs so my lights are brighter than what they were standard. I've also done my front fogs, high level brake light and rear reflectors, my rear lenses were already tinted black.:D

Cheers for replies people, has anyone got pics of there rear lights to give me some ideas, think it was on milteks website where the white leon has gloss black rear lights I think that looks good especially with the gloss black diffuser.

Had a look on google maps, and they are just down the road from me. Might have to see if they can wrap the roof in an hour and get it done on my lunch break.

They take about 45 mins to wrap a roof. Charge circa £160 if i remember.

Note of caution though, their gloss black isnt good enough IMO to do a big panel like the roof. Front grill is fine. I went matt after looking at their selection.

DO NOT try Deadly Decals!! Useless PITA!!

Here's mine with flyeye black 2
