At the last service i had an advisory that the rear suspension bushes need changing as they had worn, damn pot holes.
I just had a quote from the garage to replace the rear suspension bushes and the OS anti-roll bar drop link, which is also worn. They want £427!!

When i queried the cost as i expected it to be much less for £50 worth of bushes they recommend changing the rear lower suspension arms as well, as in their experience just changing the bushes sometimes meant there wasn't enough adjustment afterwards to get everything re-aligned.

Does this sound right? Can't really afford nearly £500, but equally if its the right thing to do then I'll have to get the money together.

Thanks.

Well I just had my OS anti-roll bar linkage done for £60 parts and labour.

Is the quote from a dealership or independent garage?

I had the arms replaced on mine as the bolts seized. Fairly common on this platform I believe. The upshot was that if I didn't have it done, the alignment couldn't be done.
