I had both dealer and car of year stickers on the rear screen.
First thing I did was remove them as soon as I got home.

Heated them a little, then peeled them off very slowly, peeling from the edge of the sticker where it meets the glass all the way across until removed.

I then used a little white spirit on a cloth to wipe off any left behind glue residue.
I was also cursing the garage the whole time I was removing them

I too had issues with Lifestyle Europe, Tunbridge Wells.

In my case, they stuck their logo to the paintwork, window, mats - I asked for the logos to be removed.

I bought a Ford Car, not a placard/hoarding.

Needless to say, I didnt buy a new car from them again

I removed my dealer sticker within a few weeks of getting the car not realising it could damage the ariel until saw it here, dab radio and rear windscreen demister seem to be working okay. Could scraping snow off the rear windscreen cause damage as well?? I am sitting here looking at my car and it has a good 4 inches of snow all over s will have to brush a good deal of it off before scraping all the glass.

No, can only damage from inside.

Right , cheers for that, my dealer label was on outside of windscreen so all okay. Good to know anyway as have previously stuck Edinburgh zoo and Blair Drummond and other stickers to inside of rear windscreen on previous cars.

I didn't realise it's so fragile - could over-enthusiastic cleaning (with a special purpose glass cleaner) damage it too? The insides do need cleaning from time to time, albeit not as frequently as the outside.....

Do you have windscreen insurance? (I imagine this would apply to rear screen) chip/smash this and claim off your insurance - mine doesn't affect my NCB and only a £50 excess

tell them somebody threw a stone as you drove past...there was an idiot on the radio last week saying when he's walking near big puddles he keeps a 1pound coin in his hand to throw at the back window if he thinks a car has deliberately splashed him....can you believe that?
even jeremy vine seemed gobsmacked. but unfortunately he wasn't speechless for long.

The power of social media...... You can get so much these days by hitting Facebook / Twitter to complain.

Glad you got it all sorted in the end.

I brought my Leon from Lifestyle Brighton also. When I purchased the car I told them do not put any stickers on the windows. When I went to pick up the car there was a sticker on the back window. They removed this immediately once I told them.

I too lose DAB signal which seems to be very intermittant but put this down to not having good coverage in the Brighton area. FM seems to be fine I think. Can someone post a picture of the rear window and the ariels as it seems mine only go along the window about 2/3 to a half. Is that correct?
