Rear Windscreen smashing

Hi anybody else had problems with theirs smashing? got a new one fotted a week before christmas and its smashed again last night?

I've heard of it - I'm guessing when you turned rear heated window on?

Bad luck to have happened twice in as many months

Ive heard about this on the Leon Mk2 before, something to do with the rear heater elements not turning off! keep an eye on it, and if its not turning off, pull out the fuse!

Ive seen it happen on Audis and BMWs has well, not sure of the cause.

It was a problem with the early builds, was'nt aware it affected newer builds. Suspected it may be secondary to the electrical screen heater circuit - get it checked out. ................................
