Hi All, Greetings all the way from South Africa

I've been having fueling issues with my Leon Cupra MK2 1P, (2.0 TFSI BWJ 177kw). At the moment the car cranks, but it won't start. I'm busy charging the battery and will try again later. It's not my daily, so I didn't drive it for a few weeks.

The problem started when I was driving and the car just cut out. I couldn't start it and I had it towed home on rollback and parked. No CEL or error codes on my Torque OBD app. The High Pressure Fuel Pump and cam follower is newly replaced and I have replaced all 4 injectors and coil packs with new ones last year. I had the in-tank fuel pump checked and it was bad and I replaced it with a new unit and test drove the car in my area. The car only drove for just under 2 kilometers and died again and I towed it home.

I scanned it with my Torque app and then I got a P0686 Powertrain error. I 'shorted' out the contacts on the ECM relay fuse and the HPFP and the throttle body activates. I have a friend that will bring his diagnostics after work today and scan the car properly.

Should I just replace the ECM relay as I need to get the part today or is there anything else that I should check first once the battery is charged? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
