Rear wiper grommet

After removing my rear wiper yesterday I've filled the hole with a 25mm plastic grommet from Halfords which seems to be the most popular choice but I notice these are still quite soft and very easy to push through.

Has anyone on here used anything firmer to plug the hole?

I found http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/200361.aspx which suggests http://www.venommotorsport.com/prod...0&manufacturer=Speedtech&category=Bodystyling but just wondering if anyone has done this any other way? I may try bonding it to the glass to see if that helps.

I just have a rebber grommit from local parts factor.

guess they're all easy to push through, but here's a tip

Got one in mine....It's actually a bung shaped piece of glass that fits perfect.....bonded to inside of glass..

Cheers for the feedback. After some more digging I found a German ebay seller selling a silimar item for £16 delivered so I've gone with that

Or if you go to Venom Motorsport they do a glass replacement version. Think it is £25 though

Ours are just rubber grommets.

The only time i've had any bother with mine was when a mate poked it through, it's now superglued in place.

Ive recently Dewipered the Mk2, and just used a 25mm grommet from halfrauds, although I did actually smear some silicon on the inside of it too
