Rear Wiper Mod LCR Mark 1
Hi all
Finally got round to fitting my rear wiper mod on LCR. After ordering part Nos following on from reading up from the FAQ section i ordered these parts from my dealer

6Y9 955 707A
6Y0 955 425
6Y6 955 435.(See slide show).

After some pushing and pulling (and a bit of grunting) finally got off what looks to have been the factory fitted rear wiper

Offered the new one and this is what it looked like
http://s1376.photobucket.com/user/to...bed/slideshow/

Now i have spent hours on the FAQ/Stickys and looked at at least 3 ebay mod kits but decided to go down the dealer route.
So are these the wrong parts (my fault) or am i doing something wrong with the new arm
Any one fitted these and had the same issue or can put a post/pic up of what the new arm looks like at the bolt/spline end of the wiper arm when fitted?
Cheers

The link doesn't work

Cheers Dave,I 've reposted them separately.

So here is the parts that i ordered after reading the FAQ on here

Here's the old wiper (at bottom of picture)with a splined disc against the new one

http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah9/tomwalsh1/2_zps11d46efc.jpg

And then when i tried to fit the new wiper there was no spline to tighten it up on to

http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah9/tomwalsh1/3_zps50b5b416.jpg

It's as if there should be a disc with it to slot into the new arm.
For a common mod it must be simpler than this?

I've done the same upgrade and there are no grooves on the new wiper to match the spline. You just line it up and put the nut back on that you took off to remove the old wiper arm. Mine has been on for 8 years with only one issue.

The wiper blade did not make contact very well so replaced it with a bosch areo blade and it is great.

At least i know i've got the right parts. So what you are saying is that when i get it to this stage =
http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah9/tomwalsh1/3_zps50b5b416.jpg

just put the original nut on and fit the new new cap onto the wipe arm to hide the protruding threaded bolt?

Yes put the nut on and then the new cap, which should have the gap for the washer jet to work. Test it working before you put the new cap on incase you need to adjust/tighten the nut.

Fitted it today-looks good and the wiper is ok-i think its off the Octavia so maybe be a better mod then when you did it.Got the missus to check it was ok but soaked her when i tried the washer as i hadn't lined the jet up in the bolt and it squirted out sideways:D Clever how that cover deflects the water out in front of the wiper arm. Thanks for your help.
