I was talking to one of my mates and he seems to think that my recirculator valve is the wrong way around can anyone help as you look at it what way should it be facing up or facing left get back to me please thanks

I can not upload pics from my phone just wanted 2 no if it meant to face up so the vacuum pipe is facing the bolkhead

what valve do you have as some vary

A forge 007p should be sat facing up, bottom port in the tip, side port in the intercooler pipework

Other way round will work but you will get an annoying chirp sound instead

It is a 007p and the chirp could it just need a stronger spring in because my mate sed it's only airflow pushing the spring up

If it is chirping its because its fitted the other way round

If it needs a stronger spring it wont hold boost very well

It don't hold boost that well pecks At 15 and drops 2 about 10-12 and you sed it did not matter wot way it gos

Just swap it round mate see if you notice an improvement, if yes then must have been the wrong way around.

Its normal for it to tail off at higher revs but you should notice it dropping faster with a week spring, mine used to before i upgraded my spring

Try the spring and see what happens

Forge say themselves the valve can be fitted either way, but the normal way is how i mentioned earlier

The pipe coming off the boost pipe connects into the end where the piston is so that it build the pressure and opens the piston, the side of the dv is where the waste air leaves the dv and goes into the intake system. If you turn it round you get the chatter noise and this is generally done when a dv is nakard or leaking to try and prevent further boost leaks. Grab another dv Steve and make sure it's the right one for the car boost pressure.
