Redmi and Android Auto

Has anyone got a Redmi phone working with Android Auto? I'm thinking of getting the Note 8t but Google has mixed results. Thanks

I've got the MI 9t pro, aka the Redmi K20 pro and Android Auto works perfectly - as does everything Google.

Not sure why you'd want to use a Chinese ROM though, that would just be awkward.

Thanks for that. I think you misunderstood me, I won't be using a Chinese ROM it's just that I've heard of issues with Android Auto and various phones.

Okay, it's just that the global rom for either the Redmi or Mi phones includes and supports all things Google - only the Chinese ROM is designed to make life difficult.

I'm playing safe and going with the Nokia 7.2. It's part of the Android One program so hopefully no compatibility issues.
