When I bought my car from the dealership he said out the blue that he though it has been re-mapped (Arnold Clark) as he had driven a few of these/GTD's before and none had seemed to go as much as mine.

This is the 1st decent car I have owned so have nothing to judge it on, But when I was at a track day yesterday when at 125 it was crawling I guess that means it probably hasn't?

The guy who traded it in wasn't apparently a right car enthusiast and traded it in for a 250bhp megane. Same colours.

I take it the only way to check is a dyno for sure?

Also is there a way to see if the DPF has been removed easy? I don't think mine is an after market exhaust so is this even possible to remove the DPF with standard exhaust?

No but they might have a dyno if that's what the OP is referring to for the deal. In answer to your question yes you can have the dpf removed on the standard exhaust, it's only one part and like mine you can just open it up bore it and weld it shut, although a downpipe would be better so check to see if it has one installed

REVO dont offer tuning for the PD170

No I actually though't they offered ECU Tuning there, Anyone know where the best area to is in the Hull area? In between Hull and Bridlington.

Gutting cos they offered 20% discount often haha.

Only places I would use for PD170 DPF removal are

Darkside Developments and Shark Performance

Try wilkinsons in Brid! Nicky you want
I've to go back for final remap but he has sorted out the butchered mess that someone had made to my pd 170.
Top guy highly recommended.

Dyno is best, even with a dpf delete it will run slightly more powerful.

i had my pd170 mapped yesterday and it pushed 197bhp just from the dpf removed, had the egr blanked off along with it and while we only tweaked it upto 208bhp/315ftlbs there is little to no smoke aswell
