Remap for my TDi 170

Hi,

I'm looking to remap the Leon and I'm wondering who is the best to go and see (in the North West) and what gains people are seeing and also if the standard engine can take it? I've been quoted 30 bhp gains and 60 odd Nm's so far

You got the PD170 or CR170.

CR170 go for REVO.

PD170 go for darkside or Jamie Kilner. The PD are really hard to map properly.

Its an 08 plate FR550 but I couldnt tell you the type of engine to be honest, only just got the car

Nope. Just a lot of tuners find it difficult to remap bye to the Siemens ecu (I think) so best place and either darkside developments of Jamie Kilner on here is very good. People who usually have problems with there remaps on the PD170 go to Jamie and he usually sorts them out. Inbox him pal.

not really, but its best to get it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing

Engine had dpf added on as an after thought and the injectors arent exactly great either

I think there was a known issue with the injectors on PDs so might be worth a call to SEAT UK customer services to check whether yours is/was sorted before going for a remap.
When i was looking at a TDi it turned out to be a later CR but it wasnt until i made the call to check it out that the lass told me.

Its in the service record that the injectors were changed after a recall by the previous owner, also whats Jamie's account name?
