well as you know i had the car remapped by Will over a week ago... and the little bugger was smoking a little to much for my liking (the car not Will). so a trip back was on the cards. a week went by to quick and friday had come, time to see Will again.

after a 4 hour run to wolves (traffic jam at birmingham didnt help) me and my mate arrived at Will's for a little tweak. after a little chat about the problem is was time to show Will. car preformed great but i think as Will would agree a little to much smoke.

after 2 attempts a cuppa and some rubbish day time TV. (Will you need some proper sky in that waiting room ;) ) we had got the smoke down to my desired level.. its very hardly noticeable now which means my boss cant complain to much lol. Will assured me that it should pull exactly like it did before from 0 - 4000 rpm but will tail off towards the end more sharper.

the drive home was superb never missed a beat... and day driving in birmingham as i went to the bullring was an ease even with the extra power. raced a few cars to put it to the test one being a gimp in a clio sport under cutting every on the A14 lol.

the next day i got up early... well 11:30 and pegged it to the local revo dealer to use his rolling road before it closes. after a little chat to Clive he put it on the rollers he knew it had been remapped by just driving it in to the shop so here it goes moment of truth.... what was the out come.... the before run came in at 158.5 bhp and 254.5 lb/ft or 329.8nm of torque..... and after 188.1 bhp and 298.6 lb/ft or 405.2 nm of torque

its fantastic tried to launch it in the wet last night and the it was all over the place... the car next to me **** him self as i was wheelspinning in 4th lol

Will really knows his stuff and i would recommend him to any one :)

Nice dyno result :D

It looks like that rolling road is bang on with its results, its nice to see a road that is actualy IN good calibration.

clive is pretty good.. i cant fault the guy spose no one can he was liek teh top third mechanic a few years ago so he knows he stuff...

scission i dunno.. i think the pd value is flywheel so im guessing its gone from 160 at teh flywheel to 188... i think the green line is wheel bhp and has gone from 120bhp to about 148 looking at that graph... but im a moron and have no idea what im looking at... the guy at bells auto likes it so it must be good lol

no dashed figures are the pre remap run...

solid line is what it ran after a remap...

looking at the key.. i think Green is wheel bhp. Red is torque. blue i presume is flywheel

but i dunno i know the pre run ran EXACTLY as the book says a pd 160 should

Ah i get you so before it was 120bhp at the wheels and 160 at the flywheel

and after remap its 149bhpish ath the wheels and 188 at the flywheel?

Isnt that a tad low for a cupra or did you specify not to have more bhp..

as my sport made 161bhp at the wheels?????

i guess thats right.... i didnt specify anything other than i didnt want smoke and low down torque for max accel...

bhp didnt come in to it...

u got a rolling road readout... i know its as good as revo as clive said thats pretty much what he would of expected from a revo except for the tail off at the end

its quarter inch bigger bore and has one less back box, it makes the car sound meatier and maybe rev freer but i the car needs to be remapped again to fully apreciate the zorst.

Smee the figures you have got are 100% correct and most importantaly SAFE on your STANDARD car.

If you want more power it is available BUT at a cost , and thats at cost of more mods and engine life.

Be happy with what you have at least you know its safe and reliabale.

A few more bhp can be had from the standard car BUT again at some cost to engine life.

I know your map inside out and know that in the longrun you will be the winner with what you have got.

Regards pete
