When the tsi ibizas came out i was searching some info and i read somewhere that the intercooler on the mk5 Fr-Cupra is twice as powerfull (and lighter) as the mk4 cupras intercooler. With just a remap i dont think there will be any problems.
The intercooler is tiny running along the lower edge of the bumper, it is also pretty heavily blocked up. Interestingly enough ETKA shows it as a full height intercooler which is isnt. There is no way that has anyway near the capacity of the FMIC from the MK4 Cupra. When Forge first looked at mine the head engineer chap laughed at the standard effort.
Half the thing is blocked by plastic lol, will be interesting wot they come up with.
does make you wander what they were thinking when they rolled these off the factory lines!! lol
I dont know, I would assume Revo have mapped looking at inlet temps although I havent seen any data. Would love to do some data logs on Pauls car on a track day.
That'll probably put you in the 205bhp region anyway bud. Remaps are certainly an interest to me but I'm holding fire for more people to have tried them. Also call me tight but I don't fancy paying full retail for a bit of software, I'll wait until there is an offer on.
