My intercooler now has more area exposed to the air flow since I did some work removing some of the plastic covering it. Worked well at race track, for drag strip I sprayed distilled water on intercooler before each run. As that worked well I have just bought a spray kit from Ebay so I can try that properly. If too big an intercooler is fitted, the result can be an excessive pressure drop in the inlet manifold meaning the air is slowed too much, being too dense and cold to flow easily into the combustion chamber. I think the best thing to do is make the most of the factory intercooler, and if that still isn't enough, upgrade. So far I haven't got to that stage.I dont know, I would assume Revo have mapped looking at inlet temps although I havent seen any data. Would love to do some data logs on Pauls car on a track day.
