If you would compare, keep in mind the turbo sizing!
The 180hp 1.8T has a small K03 turbo which spools very fast, it is almost driveable like a derv.
This one should be compared to a 130hp TDI which also has a quite small turbo (especially the fabia/ibiza/polo plattform with it's weak kkk kp39 turbo)
The LCR has the bigger K04 turbo which is clearly feelable spooling later than the K03.
In the end all what matters is the AREA under the dyno curve, the usable RPM range and the mating gear ratios.
That a derv only revs to 4500 or 5000 does not really matter as they have longer gear ratios to compensate.....
BTW:
Measured and feeled power differences are two completly different worlds, especially with two completly different engine characteristics (derv vs. petrol), don't get caught by that ^^
