Remapping

Guys, I have had my Leon FR for several months now and have loved the performance it has offered me. But there is still a part of me wanting more so have been considering getting my car remapped. My problem is I am not a massive car buff so am unsure of all of the pros and all of the cons. Obviously pros will include increased BHP and torque but I wanted to try and learn more from you guys.

Would it be a wise decision to remap my car?
What are the pros and cons of doing this?
Will it affect any warranties I have and would it affect my insurance?

Any advise anyone as got would be much appreciated particularly from those who have remapped their FR.

there are loads of threads on remaps, which I searched thru to help me make my decision... so worth doing a search

it may affect warranty, but it depends on your dealer...

it will defo affect your insurance... I was quoted 15% increase by Adrian Flux for the bluefin remap...

No problems from any well know mapper have had 8 remaps with only one problem and that was a Rover 75 ALL others have been good, max miles on one was 120k. Need to have proper insurance co's if not you are NOT covered - about 15% hike but shop around for a deal. Warrantys well as long has you do not do GP trafic light starts trans and g/box will hold tyres do not last as long though!!

I hope its not a automatic 15%, that would cost me £345 for a remap
