bit of a random one :blink:
Ive just got a rear ward facing car seat for my lad and due to is size the passanger seat had to be put quite far forwards makeing leg room a little tight for the gaffa! :( im thinking of removing the glove box when we go away to allow loads of space extra but wondered if theres any bits that may be a problem in the event of a smash (touch wood) I know ill have to mount the air bag switch from the back of the glove box taped up somewhere so the air bags wont fault but any other bits i may encounter?

cheers :D

I'd have a couple of concerns with this;
i) There are some brutally sharp brackets behind the glovebox ...not to mention the cross member behind the dash, which to an extent the glovebox sheilds you (as a passenger) from in the event of an accident
ii) In the same way you're not s'posed to sit too close to the steering wheel, I don't know the effect of having the dash airbag go off so close/below the occupant's head

I assume you've already explored the option of turning the airbag off and fitting the child seat in the front? (assuming it' s not isofix)

As inconvenient as it may be, you might be better with adult passengers occupying the o/s rear seat (?)

Cheers mate thabks for taking time on this! Its an isofix reward face only the safest seat money can buy from what in told anyway ill take on board what you said, its really only to gain a few inches of leg room ill look at removing the front part and leave the inner on to cover the nastys. Hopefully that will work or its back seat job for the gaffa! Cheers mate
