Good evening all,

Finally collected my new SEAT Leon after 8 months of waiting thanks to production delays. Have been driving around in Ibiza FR courtesy cars for quite some time but now finally have my Leon customized for my little one with additional storage etc and many other child friendly options.

Can anyone advise how to remove the front plastic grill please? Is it possible to do without removing the whole bumper? I would like to attach a sports grill badge which needs to be screwed in from the back however all videos I have found online appear to either be for the old model Ibiza, or include removing the entire front bumper which I would like to avoid. I was hoping I would be able to reach the back of the grill with the bonnet up but that is not the case.

I have added 3 photos showing the part I would like to remove

Thank you in advance. Hoping to be on here much more I have my car.

Sorry for double post, just done some extensive searching on the forums and it seems like removing the grill is definitely a remove bumper job which I will NOT be attempting.

I have read some other people commenting on getting to the back of the grill to change the front badge though and that seems to be doable by removing some trim along the top of the bumper under the bonnet. Can anyone confirm I will be able to reach the back of the grill by just removing the black plastic trim please? I just need to get my fingers in there to tighten screws really.

Thanks so much.

You might have more luck gaining access to the back of the grille from underneath. Often depends if the radiator gets in the way or not - on some cars it's quite straightforward, despite having to 'lie on yer back' to get under the front of the car. No worse than you'd have to do to reach the sump plug for an oil change though.
