You lift the bonnet and remove the black/grey plastic that runs across the top of the grille between the headlights. There are about 6 (or 8) plastic plunger type rivets where you lift the edge before they pull out (can be done easily with your finger nail or small screw driver).
Then pop the spring clips to release it and lift it out. These will be a tight fit and might take some pliers to squeeze them in enough.
Now on top of the grille there is a single screw. Remove that.
You should now be able to pull the centre of that grille section free. It leaves a surround in the bumper as that piece is part of the 3-grille set across the top of the bumper between the lights. On my FR/Cupra honey-comb grille the bonnet latch just needed guiding through the gaps. Nothing had to be removed.
Once out, the
badge can be got at from the rear. You will need to melt/cut/drill the lugs and the
badge pulls away from the grille from the rear. Be carefull to gently prize the fingers of the grille front from the grooves within the S
badge so they don't snap.
When you put it all back in its pretty easy, but you will need to hot-glue or similar the
badge into place to secure it.
