A normal cutlery/butter knife, in a sock (so it doesn't scratch the paintwork) Usually right hand side, and it literally pops out.

I wouldnt use knives in socks or anything tbh, I would recommend anyone on this site buy a set of trim removal tools!

for a fiver you cant go wrong and it just helps so much protecting paint work and interior trim pannels!

I have this set
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-PC-NYLO...t=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item43a6f0dc5d

can't recommend them enough, it is much softer plastic than the interior and doesn't leave a single mark!

I've only ever used the knife and sock thing for the indicators and all was well, but I see you're point. Defo would get the above if I did some interior work as I wouldn't want to ruin my white dash.

Not syai9ng it doesn't work but anything could happen in that, the knife could work through the sock or maybe it ends up being too thick for a job, so just saying for the sake of a fiver for a set of tools you can use on any car in the future :)

Bargain!
