It’s only held on with double sided sticky tape. Strong double sided sticky tape, but that’s all.Having trouble finding anything online regarding removing the Cupra flags on the front grill...
Trying to install the new Grey/Black flag.
Anyone done this? I’ve looked behind the grill from under the bonnet but no luck.

Get a hair dryer and some fishing line. Heat it up, don’t need to worry about paint work thankfully. Use the fishing wire to help unstick it bu feeding it into one of the corners (bottom right and top left from memory).
Now as it’s got 2 locating pins it’s a bit more challenging than a boot badge so you won’t be able to get it off with out some pulling. But as it’s plastic behind it ‘lol be fine thankfully. You’ll be able to see where the locating pins are on your new black badge. But from memory they’re top right and bottom left.
That looks good! I bought one of the black front grille badges to put on the back as well. I take it you snapped off the lugs and just stuck it onView attachment 6684

See this thread...Does anyone have the part number for the black cupra flag fitted to the grill of the latest 290 please? Thinking about black Seat emblem and flag for the grill. Will keep the rear badges and Cupra logo chrome as they are nicely camouflaged on my silver ST.
What type of paint did you use? I tried used grey primer left it 24 hours then when I sprayed on black gloss it started to craze so had to remove all the paintView attachment 6684

You'd have to get a new grill as the Cupra grill has a blank plate there where the flag sits so it would just look lile the flag is missingView attachment 32336Removed my rear flag and 280 emblem. Decided keep it like that. Clean look, like a modern Cupra. Can I do the same with the front flag? Remove it and keep it off, or will it look like there’s something missing that’s supposed to fit there?
Well, that’s unfortunate. I hear the grill is a pain to remove too. You'd have to get a new grill as the Cupra grill has a blank plate there where the flag sits so it would just look lile the flag is missing
You could get a black flag to replace it instead...Well, that’s unfortunate. I hear the grill is a pain to remove too.
