Hello all,

I am looking at a replacement panel filter for my Leon FR+ TDI 150, I have read a few threads that say some of the filters are a bit to oily when they are new and can potentially screw up the MAF sensor.

Is this a seriuos concern, whats the likelyhood of an issue? I have heard the Green Cotton filter is the least oily, so presumably thats the one to go for?

Any advice would be great, I hate knowing that an upgrade can potentially cause problems!

Cheers,

Pipercross and Green Cotton are the only 2 that I would use. I have used both off them for many years now and have never had a problem with my MAF.
I have been using a Pirercross in my Leon for 10000 miles without any problems.

Got a Pipercross panel filter on mine, been there for just over 20k miles and no problem at all. Just make sure you don't over oil it when you come to cleaning it and you'll be fine!

Dont think anyone has had problems with green cotton filter.

Got pipercross in mind, fancied a change from Green for some reason.
