hi all just a quick question think my turbo is knackered and as i have a stage 2 remap am just wondering if i swap it for a brand new direct replacement turbo will i have to get the remap again? (i know remaps are to do with the ecu) but it says its got an adjustable actuator on the new turbo and just wondering if that will effect the remap ive got cheers

If you match the actuator position of the new Turbo to the old one then it should be a direct replacement with no problems. If you have a custom map then they might be able to get a bit more power from a new turbo but it should be a direct replacement.

No problem, I wouldn't just throw replacement components at the car though as it can get very expensive. If you can take it back to the place that mapped the car then they should be able to help.

Was it doing it before the remap?

il give them a ring and nope wasnt doing it before the remap but it used to have a pause through all the gears not just 3,4,5,6 but this was because the pipe that connects to the recirculating dump valve was collapsing but changed that to a 3 ply silicone one and that sorted it for gears 1 and 2 but not the other gears am gonna change the tip to a silicone one see if thats collapsing before i go for the turbo as been needing to change the tip
