Response from Seat re Cupra Deisel

I posted a while back regarding the new Audi A5 2.0 TDI 204BHP. I have emailed Seat to see if they are any plans for this in the new Cupra plus a few other questions about the new Ibiza Cupra... Here is the response

'In response to your recent enquiry we write to confirm that we have been in contact with the product department who have advised the following:



- With regard to the query regarding the Leon, we have no news of access to the forthcoming 204PS TDI engine from the Audi A5, therefore it will not be available for the Leon Cupra.

- The Ibiza Cupra will launch later than the other derivatives of the Ibiza although no date has yet been set for the Ibiza launch and we have no confirmation at this stage regarding the 170TDI and TFSI engines for this model.

- The Torque figure for the TDI FR 170PS is incorrect on the website and should read as 258PS.

- This will be rectified as a priority
