Hi

i have a 1.6 Tdi Style ST and i really think that the seat doesn't have enough lumbar support.
Anyone knows if it is possible to retrofit the lumbar support on this seats, and where can i find the Part Number for the LHD version?
i can feel the hole on the foam on the place that it takes the adjuster so it might me possible...

Thanks

I have had this problem with many cars from my 07 plate Audi A4 1.9TDI Se right up to my current FR ST which actually has the lumbar support.

I take my car to Pickerings in Bradford and they fit a pneumatic inflatable lumbar bolster inside the seat. I even have one in my FR ST and its sits on top of the SEAT one to give me a bit higher support.

In the Audi A4 SE when they got the seat apart, the lumbar support was actually in the seat but they had just not fitted the gearing and external lever, it was more trouble to try and get the parts from Audi as they are not sold separately so they just added the pneumatic bolster on top of the non-functional Audi lumbar support. Once fitted the inflator will really push out into your lumbar spine and make a difference, it is quite easy to add or remove air. Pickerings will get you to sit in the car and show them the height that you need it fitting and they put a fabric tape line on the seat so they can get the height just where you need it. The tape comes off with no residue after you are happy.

On the FR ST it took them about 20 minutes and cost under 100 quid
