Hi, I'm new to this forum so be gentle :)

Had a good look around the forum and seen a few people with the same issue but couldn't find an answer.

My mk2 seat leon Refernece Sport reverse light has not been working since I got the car. Checked the bulb and changed around the two holders on each side all seems fine.. however reverse light still not working !

Would anyone have a picture of the reverse light fuse in the fuse box as I cannot seem to find it ! Or tell me how to find the gear box switch for the reverse light ?

Or any other suggestions on how to fix this ?

Thanks,
Scott

As fair as I know there is only 1 reverse bulb and is on passenger side rear another thing to mention is the light off them is terrible and sometimes hard to distinguish weather it's working or not lol I think fuses are in dash at driver side A pillar

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I know, it's pretty crap ! Definitely not working unfortunately, checked all fuses in the interior of the car and all seem fine ? Only think left it could be Is the switch apparently located on the gearbox I've been told ?

Do you have VCDS? you can check operation of reverse light switch using this.... Failing that locate the sensor on the box and get the multimeter out. Not 100% sure on yours, but on my 6 speed Tfsi, you should have an ignition live, and then a switched earth when reverse is selected.

I'd imagine the switch icon the gearbox housing, sure someone will be able to confirm on here.

Sounds like that's the issue

I'd agree with Rik h, the switch is probably your answer as the light out icon on the dash should come on..

I'm guessing it's an awkward one to change, as the air box etc needs removed.. Unless it's at the front of the casing, in which case it might be accessible from below
