Reversing mirror

Has the setting somehow got messed about with?
Try resetting it (bear in mind as stated above the mirror switch has to be set in the left position, not right as stated below!)

@dave norman; note that reference to turning the mirror adjustment control to ‘R’ in the screenshot posted by @Seriously? applies to LHD cars. If your car is RHD then the adjustment knob should be turned to the ‘L’ position as that’s the mirror closest to the kerbside.

You can set both mirrors so that whichever one the switch is selecting will drop.

That's something I didn't know! Does it require coding? :)
No. Why would they bother telling the car to ignore the procedure on one side? It's simpler just to make both the same on all cars. You can set both mirrors to drop if you want to.
