Buzz also worth looking at is superchips and their bluefin option , I got it and my car is standard apart from r exhaust and bluefin map producing around 300 bhp advantage is it can be removed at anytime and put back on if your visiting the stealers for any work

That sounds like a plan as I have paid for extended warranty.

Apr are very good i just had there trial on my leon cupra and it was quick, pm me if you want there info for the map and contact details etc.

What are you comparing against? All trials feel quick against an untuned car.

Looks like APR's marketing is working well

Buzz, have you considered GIAC? My Stage 1 map was nice and smooth, but felt quick. Made a shade over 300 once mapped.

My car at the moment feels like its putting too much power down and its not getting anywhere at start because wheels just spin. you have to bite then slowly apply pressure. I want a smoother start as well as mass bhp

smoother start is down to your driving style I can wheel spin a 90bhp fiesta if i choose too best way to get the power down will always be relying on you feeding it in and good tyres :) that and of course temperature condition of road

good tyres, and a good balance of throttle and clutch will see a good spinless start.
too many people just boot and dump the clutch or apply too much too soon.

We are all waiting on the discount again.
As for spinning at the start as above driver and tyres. When my wheels were away getting done I had some 18 inch wheels to use with kuhmo tyres and my good they were terrible on a wet road my car just spun in 4th gear and and my original pirellis I get just a hint of traction loss in 3rd so tyres are a big part.
Cheap tyres are false economy and can be dangerous.

yeah but also the maps help to sort out the smoothness don't they because they hold back on your power at the start to help you reduce spin

This wouldnt be an off the shelf remap though would it? youd have to go custom if you wanted them to change all that, im probably wrong just trying to throw a few possibilities out!
try find a few before v after graphs from the websites maybe?

Cold tarmac and greasy surfaces isn't helping things at the moment, but tyres and suspension mods will help harness the power.

I have to say my WALK upgrade was some of the best money I've spent. But nothing beats top quality tyres. I can't speak highly enough of my R1Rs (soon to be R888 come summer).

What tyres are you running?
