Has anyone got a Revo Stage 2 map on their 1.8T (BBU/BJX Only)? how does it perform, what power has it made and with what supporting mods? - Please keep 'go to this XXX tuner and get custom' out of this, I know all the custom tuners very well, just wanted to know specifically about Revo's software for the BBU/BJX. - Thanks

Had.
Poweful lowdown torque band which tails off very quickly.
Changed for a different tuner eventually and had a much more linear map.

Depends what your looking for really, I wanted something that easier to use on track.

I have Revo 2 on 1.8T FR (BJX). 231bhp (at 5800rpm) and 240lbft (at 3500rpm) when last tested.

Main engine mods - Milltek turbo back with sports cat, FMIC, 4 bar FPR, K&N Panel filter, Cupra air intake, Bailey twin recirc valve (cold side relocation). Mapped with SPS+ for Tesco 99 fuel (7 timing and 6 fuel iirc).

Turbo cuts in pretty forcefully c 2500 revs, best power band up to 4K, tails off pretty quickly after. Great pull in 3rd gear up, good for overtaking/fast cruising not 0-60, 1st and 2nd best used just to 'slingshot' through to 3rd really or else can really go through tyres/sideways...

No track use but very happy with real world performance. Oh, and 35+ mpg on motorway, 30+ around town - your mileage may vary ;)

Brilliant feedback thanks! Ive the same engine going from quantum remap to revo stage 2 this Friday.

Current mods include Forge recirc, full Milltek de-cat, uprated fuel regulator, generic cone filter intake, silicone TIP.
FMIC will be done next month and remap will be modified to include it.

Cool, hope you enjoy it! The SPS switch can be useful if going Revo - nice to be able change the map to standard if leaving your precious baby with a garage, or lower the fuel setting if forced to put cheapo petrol in. Got mine on ebay - about £50 for the latest model.

If you have an FR (not Cupra) I'd recommend the 312mm brake upgrade from TT/S3/Octy Vrs etc if you haven't already done it - well worth it, really helps reduce brake fade in the twisties :D

Yea I'm getting an sps as well. Not from ebay though hah. Excited about it. When you put it in standard does it run more economical than it did in the first place pre map?

Heard I'll probably need brake and clutch upgrades. Next month when I have money more money maybe!

1. No idea about fuel economy pre map as already done when I bought it.

2. Mine's still on standard original clutch (74k miles) - no real need to upgrade. If mine went I'd just go for another standard one to be honest, will last longer than the car...

3. I ran without brake upgrade at first but it's a big improvement - check related threads on here as not all wheels will fit over them though

Ah fair play! I'm hoping with the other improvements to make it more efficient the car will run better as standard than it did pre map. Not sure if I'm getting my hopes up for nothing though haha. We'll see!

I've only got 60k miles and I usually drive sensible ;) so hopefully mine will be fine. Don't want to uprate the clutch or brakes if it's not necessary. Spent enough money on her already.

Will take a look, thanks. Knowing my luck my alloys will be the ones that don't fit!
