I am thinking of buying a rieger rear bumper insert with exit left and right then a custom powerflow exhaust to fit aswell.

Questions i have are...

Does the bumper insert need bonding or can it be stuck on using some sort of strong double sided tape?

With the insert i am going to have to cut the bumper to allow another exit for the exhaust, what size tips would be recommended that fit snug? as i did have 5" tips in mind.

with the custom exhaust i am looking for something with more of a grumble with a pop and bang too, i was told from the Mr Tyres in stafford who fit powerflow exhausts, that a catback system with a straight through pipe from the middle box would be way to loud, has anyone done anything similar to this that could help me out? also quoted £450 inc VAT and labour.

I'm guessing you mean a bumper diffuser like this?

Mine is a Rieger diffuser. And also a Powerflow cat back exhaust with no silencers, but it's a diesel so not really loud at all. The diffuser needed bonding and screws. Adhesive and screws come with the diffuser and I paid £450 to fit the exhaust and the diffuser

That's pretty much the exact look I am going for, what size tips do you have? Well I only have a 1.4 TSI 150ps but I am looking at getting a revo map for it soon too. Just trying to think what to get exhaust wether to get a straight pipe from the middle box or not

I have 4 inch tips.

You should be able to tell the exhaust fabricator exactly how loud you want it and whether you are happy with it droning in the cabin during motorway driving. That's why it's a custom exhaust, they make it how you want it.

I didn't bond mine on. Just in case I decided to remove it if the car goes for sale. Used 3M automotive double sided tape. Works a treat.

from what i can see from pictures too there is only 2 screws for the insert aswell? just hoping that when i get my exhaust fitted that they can sort the skirt insert and cutting the bumper too without them throwing a paddy.

I think there are either four or six screws . Some have spacers to allow the insert to sit correctly.
