RNS 510 steering wheel controls

So after the bad experience with a Chinese android Head Unit, I picked up an RNS 510 from a 2010 Cupra. Fitted and working great, minus Bluetooth which I don't have, and the steering wheel controls no longer working or the MFD. Mines is a 2010 FL and worked fine with original head unit. Would I need to do some kind of coding to get the steering and mfd to work?

So as an update, I coded the unit with vcds. Navigation - On, BAP - On. I now can switch mfd between audio and navigation although audio is blank and navigation just shows text 'Seat Navigation'. Still steering wheel controls do nothing. Now pretty stumped with this one. Any ideas or anyone had this problem before?

Did you hack the stock wiring up to get the android one to fit?

I have a rns510 fitted and my steering wheel controls work with the unit, all but the fast forward and rewind button's.

No not at all. That was straight plug and play as it was designed for VAG.

Nope just connected up the rns510 and everything worked, even the factory aux port still works fine aswell.

My RNS-315 was the same, plug and play so I'm abit stumped as why the steering wheel controls are broken.
