Roof bars for Toledo Mk 1?

Hi,

Does anyone know which roof bars are suitable for a 97/98 Mk1 Toledo, 1.6SE? Have checked the Thule Fit Guide but they don't have a suitable model.

Hi, I believe the Leon mk1 roof bars fit - someone can correct me if i'm wrong.

If they do I have a set available - let me know

The Leon Mk.1 is derived from the Toledo Mk.2, both on the Golf 4 platform. The Toledo Mk.1 is a different car, derived from the Golf 2, and I don't think the Leon Mk.1 bars will fit.

If you're still interested in some roof bars I have some original Seat Toledo ones I am looking to sell. From what I understand they fit the mk 1 & mk2 & have the hook-type locking pins. Come with 2 keys and can post.

Can anyone confirm that the roof rack fixing points are the same on a Mk.2 Toledo (99-04) as a Mk.1 Leon (09-04)?
Had a look at the ones on the Mrs Leon and its just a threaded hole.

I can't confirm it because I've never seen a Leon's roof mounting points, but there's no reason to think them any different - the Mk.1 Leon is derived from the Mk.2 Toledo, after all. My Toledo has four little plastic flaps in the rain gutter strip that hide threaded bosses for mounting the roof bars.

sounds identical to the Leon roof mounts on the wifes car!

i have also since checked the Thule website, and both cars use the same mounting kit!

Long shot i know, you still got those roof bars for sale?
I have bought the wrong ones i have bought the ones that go in to the threaded holes ie LEON ones.

For all you people who think the toledo and leon Have the same holes they dont!!!

I bought these off a chap who had a y reg Toledo they have the same fixings as the Leon? how ever i have the V reg toledo That dose not have the same fixing points.

I think it was a over sight when they first made the toledo and they corrected it!

if you have 4 plastic parts on your roof and you pick them up and see threded holes you have the fixing point leon toledo.

if you have the 8 plastic points and lift them up and see no Holes on your toledo, then you have the same as me and do not buy the leon/toledo fixed point, roof rack

Y reg Toledo would be a Toledo Mk.2, the one the Leon was based on. It's built on the Mk.4 Golf platform.

V reg Toledo would be a Toledo Mk.1, a completely different car built on the Mk.2 Golf platform.

The two will have different roof bars.
