sure that wasnt just the PD170 stutter that 99% of them suffer with? mine had it until i removed EFR and got the Sh.ark mapping in 5th and 6th

I don't think so. Used to get coil light flashing also. The stutter was different. This was defo fuel starvation at points in the rev range

This is true, but at a much lower volume than red in the red diesel.

I know someone that's been running red on a Leon TDI (110, Non PD) since I started driving in 2002 and hasn't had any issues or tests at all.

Not necessarily, red diesel is just white before shipping and it's in the tankers that they had the dye to make it red, so it really depends on how much they bother to put in. I've had red before which was barely even pink. Green diesel is even less noticeable in it's colour than that 99% of the time.
