since iv had my car which is a year and half old but bought it 6 months ago its had rust behind the alloys on the drum on all 4 wheels. anyone else had this prob? any suggestions? the dealer i bought it from said it was one off them things which i dont believe ta
I have the same issue and both SEAT and the dealer refuse to do much about it. Had the exact same issue on my Celica as well and Toyota refused to do anything either.
With all due respect though the dealer did try to clean them up and it looks a little bit better...
I took my wheels off last summer and painted them with Hammerite matt silver paint. The first signs of corrosion are already now appearing. Looks like it will be a yearly job. Saw a Boxster the other week with a similar problem.
I have the same problem, but of late it has got considerably worse! My mate has bought a mk5 R32 that is about 6 months old, that has the same problem but looks worse than mine.
It may be a common thing, just ruins the look for the car imo.
This is ridiculous, do you think if this was a U.S. website or we were in Germany, we would put up with this ?
I kicked up a right Sstink with both the dealer and SEAT customer care, and to give them credit, they realised I had a case. THEY EVENTUALLY FIXED IT FOC
I think you will find that this happens no matter what mark you pick, wheel hubs are steel and will rust. Best thing to do is invest in a wire brush from Halfords (or is that Chalfords) and a tin of metal silver spray paint....hey ho presto..........
