How much labour charges are you being charged?

Is it mates rates?

450NM = 330lbft so will be sufficient enough:)

Also wanna check mate that the clutch is capable of connection to your double mass flywheel, some high powered clutches require a single mass flywheel, not saying that one is, but just something i would just bring to your attention especially as you say that its a paddle clutch many off them are single mass flywheel only, except a few, like Mitchy's i would presume!

he checked everything out for me says its ok, can upgrade to the paddle clutch later he said somthing or another

Is he gonna also upgrade the pressure plate faciing aswell then? as the SACHS RACE ENGINEERING one has been heat treated, has a higher clamp load and also has a different surface material in it to withstand higher temperatures so that it can still perform. If you just upgrade the driven plate and use a standard spec pressure plate depending on how much heat etc etc it is generating the pressure plate simply wont clamp and then you wont beable to select any gears at all.

Is the guy that is doing it for a reputable guy? is his business succesful? or is he just banging clutches out of his garden shed?

Personally i would rather pay the extra cost, buy one that has been tried and tested by a huge multi billion pound company rather than some back street garage man who just fiddles around with the lining on them. Just mho.

thats up to you, the one i got wasnt a sachs one, i need it done for the weekend, was just going to buy another standard one for the time being but saw an uprated one and decided to give it ago as its worth a try so i will let you know how i get on then comment
