Still no official entry list from Seat then? Guess we'll all have to wait until next week-end to see who is in.
There is a test day scheduled for Friday 30th March at Brands Hatch. I would guess this will be the Cupra media day. Should allow them some final testing before the qualifying takes place on the Saturday morning.

Looks like it will be a busy championship, in fact looks like the SEAT Championship will field its largest ever grids. According to Autosport upto 23 cars, 13 of them the new Leons

Daniel Welch is with Welch Motorsport. I have a feeling Stewart Whyte is a Scottish driver who has been racing a Ford Escort WRC/Cosworth of late.

Grid looks good now. I think a lot of people have realised how good the prize money and the BTCC test opportunity is, plus the oversubscribed Clios will have helped boost the Cupras too.

That is a healthy entry list - so much for the profets of doom who have been forecasting the end of the championship
I think it's going to be a busy 1st corner at Brands!

What's happened to Tom Boardman?
Don't know, but Autopsort did say he was only entering selected rounds, as he is contesting the Supercopa series in Spain.
That's a shame - he should have cleaned up in this series this year with being the only driver to know the circuits and the car 
Oli was very impressive in 2004 coming back strong to finish runner-up, and was a regular visitor to the podium. So i'd certainly say he's one of the favourites.
Blencow, Mussi and Adam were all very good contenders last year, but couldn't compete with Mat Jackson in the end. I think its very open at the top to be honest, with the likes of Breeze in the mix too.
Surprised not to see Ben Winrow, did he move back to Clio's?
EDIT: To answer my own question, yes he's doing the 2007 Clio's

Tom has clearly decided to concentrate on the Spanish series as the first couple of rounds clash so he had to choose - which is interesting as, although it is a lot cheaper and the tech regs are far looser, the prize is a lot less a well; maybe he didn't fancy the opposition in the UK?
As for the rest, I think Breeze will probably be quickest at the first round as he is naturally quick and has done a lot of testing. Oli has had a couple of test days - the first to simply shake down the car, so will be playing catch-up - but has the speed and strength of character to win the championship.
