Im not so sure that method is recommended for turbo'd cars Steve. The product will have to go through your turbo, through your boost pipes and through your intercooler and travel up your throttle body pipe before it makes it into your engine. Most of it will most likely just line the pipes.

I could be wrong but i think that method is for N/A engines.

I thought this so emailed Wynns before I got it.

My Mail.

Hi, can you tell me if it is safe to use this product with Turbo engines or is it only for Normally aspirated engines.

Thanks,

Thank you for your enquire.
All our fuel cleaners are designed to work on fuel systems with or without turbo chargers.

Think he was reffering to the way you put in the the engine rather than the product itself mate

@jon-tfsi that easy eh! Well the carb cleaner I have is is an aerosol! I'm gonna give it a bash when little'un is in bed. Let you all know if my engine blows up! lol!

Good point matey, I just read it again.

However the instructions do say, to remove the air filter and spray down the intake.

It is solvent based aerosol so I cant see it lining the pipes.

Well Carb clean doesn't work all that well as soon as you spray it in there the car wants to stall! Will get some redex for tomorrow evening's adventures!

Thats normal when putting something like Carb clean in, you need someone in the car trying to keep the revs up to stop the engine stalling.

Jon, sorry to resurrect this old thread but what was the redex product you used? Seen the petrol injector stuff in halfords, was that the one? Gonna have a bash next week to try and calm these bloody noisey injectors down!
