Hi all,

I recently bought a new Leon FR 150 ACT and am very impressed with it, I am thinking of taking out the fixed price service plan which covers 3 years servicing has anybody else done this and is it worthwhile? I probably wont cover much more than 8000 miles per year so it fits in with the 30000 miles over the 3 years, the servicing cost seems to indicate £179 for the 10000 service £139 for the 20000 mile service but I am not sure of the 30000 mile cost? Having come from Ford cars I know there are big variations between Dealer prices so can anybody let me know what sort of deals are out there, I live in Essex and there are 2 Seat Dealers near me but they belong to the same Group so I expect their prices to be the same so can't get a comparison price.

Thanks

It's alright but some dealerships are abit funny if your tuning your car and may ask for it standard or they won't touch it :/ so I haven't got the service plan

I don't know where I got the 20k figure from!! so service 1 is £179, service 2 is £229 and service 3 is £149 which if paid individually totals £557 so paying monthly/upfront saves approx £77 and protects you from any price increases. Do all Seat dealers stick to these prices or is there any negotiating and price matching, I know with Ford there are some big differences depending where you are in the Country and also depending how many Dealers there are around so before I commit to this I want to look at all options but try and stick with Seat main Dealers to retain the warranty etc.

I expected to drive up to 25,000 miles per year and I did not take out the service plan as my car is on flexible service intervals and there is the fixed price servicing guarantee. I will be trading mine at 3 years old with around 80,000 miles on the clock. Depending on the deal, I may trade it in, keep it another year or sell it to my son at bottom book price and then negotiate another new car. At year four it will have done 100K and will be worth nada so then it would be given to my son.

Seat service prices are fixed up and down the country you can go to London or Fife and the prices do not differ.
