Hiya,

I have had my Altea for a year now and have got it running sweet!!

Last week though I had a front spring go, and whats worrying me is that I can't find any info on what springs I should buy as all the online tools say not for sport suspension.

My question is, does my 'Sport' have sport suspension or not?

The SEAT dealer parts department refused to give me a part number over the phone as they are not allowed to!

Sport suspension springs and dampers are different but the ride height is the same as standard. Only the FR has a lower ride height.

To tell what was fitted at the factory, look at the data sheet in the service book or under the carpet in the boot. In the list of 3-character codes, the last one (or one of the last ones) should be Gnn. G39 and G40 are codes for standard suspension, G41 and G42 mean Sport. G66 is FR.

My 54-plate TDI Sport has code G42.
