Can anyone help im haveing trouble with the seat belt chime,my warning light comes on the dash but no chime sounds,it has been working but has seemed to have stopped.

I'd like to be able to turn my warning off! Bloody thing bongs away even with a small bottle of drink on there :censored:

It is switchable through the owners settings on the large MFD or via VAG.com at the stealers -worrying if it has changed on its own though as it suggests a fault on the sensor side.

ony changable on VAG-COM and not large MFD unfortunatlly as i would like mine turned off also

My dealer wouldn't turn mine off - safety apparently. I'll give him safety, I'm liable to kill someone next time a bottle of water sets the alarm going!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I also found this happen once with a bag sat on the passenger seat (pressure sensors in the seat). Once I moved the bag off the seat onto the floor, the noise stopped (I was wearing mine) ;)

As a test, I did try raising myself out of the drivers seat while rolling along at walking pace on a private road, but the bong carried on. Perhaps for the drivers side seat, it will bong as long as the seatbelt is not buckled and the car is moving.

I understand that either putting the item on the floor, or putting the seatbelt in would solve the problem, but that's just a pain in the backside.

For example, I got back in the car last night after playing badminton, through my bag on the floor but my drink on the seat so i could get to it. In this exact situation what i don't want to do is have to reach over to plug the belt in, or put my drink on the floor.

The ones in the middle are covered by the arm rest and the one in the front is strupidly positioned so that a tall bottle can't fit in, and gets in the way when changing gears.

I thought someone was going to say "drink holders"!
