Seat Dealer Revo Remap

Well - I'm finally taking the plunge and getting my Mk1 FR+ remapped next week.

I had it in for the 40k service at the local Seat dealers and happened to mention about remaps and they told me they are just starting to do them themselves.

Revo remap for £470 - booked in for Tues morning

Does that sound a fair price? They've also told me that it wont affect my warranty

mate i wouldnt go anywhere near revo.... had it put on mine and the car was running crap and really smoking!! after a month of it took it off and had a custom code one put on for 300 quid... the car is now perfect and no smoking... revo is overpriced rubbish in my opinion..... is your car petrol or diesel???

I think £470 sounds like a lot for a generic remap.....

To be honest mate it would sound like you had a bad experience, there are thousands of cars with revo and people love it.

I'm running revo stage 2 map plenty of power no smoke, but that is a dirty derv trait anyway !!

If you've got a standard car then a generic revo map will be fine imo but if you've got other mods then a custom remap will bring out to thier full potential

Never heard of dealers doing remaps before ? and as for the warranty thing that's proberbly th dealer themselves taking a gamble that it won't do any damage and that you won't need to claim before the warranty runs out !!

Nothing wrong with Revo AT ALL - been used 10000's of times without issues - excellent product that does what it says it'll do.

As for the price - it does sound a little steep with todays prices - but check on www.revotechnik.com and should give you the RRP.

just be careful with revo.... my car was running rough and over smokey!! 470 is way overpriced for revo as well mate.... have a look at custom code you wont be dissapointed

revo was very all or nothing power whereas the custom code has power all the way through the gears....

My revo map is really smooth i've even got the dyno graphs to prove it !

i think the all or nothing myth is spread around by people reading and then re repeating on forums.

I've had car on rollers at Paramount Performance in Slough, where they do thier own live custom remaps and they were suprised at how well it pulled and how smooth the power delivery was nothing like they had heard about Revo before !

The price is £399 + vat at the dealers.

thats for a mk1 Leon FR + TDI - going from 150bhp to 190bhp. I checked the revo link posted further up and there are quite a few places near by that also do remaps, but aren't brave enough to put their prices on their websites.
