Well - I'm finally taking the plunge and getting my Mk1 FR+ remapped next week.

I had it in for the 40k service at the local Seat dealers and happened to mention about remaps and they told me they are just starting to do them themselves.

Revo remap for £470 - booked in for Tues morning

Does that sound a fair price? They've also told me that it wont affect my warranty

main thing is they are offering to keep your warranty going... most dealers wont.

maybe ask if theyll remove the map and money back if it smokes?

their price is steep but it is a dealer , and its all above board warranty wise.

sounds like you were planning a remap anyway. who would you have gone with if they hadnt mentioned it?

Yeah - I'd decided to remap before I even bought the car back in April.

I was gonna hang on until it was out of warranty (this Dec), but seeing as they said that it would keep warranty I figured that it would be better to get it sooner, then if anything did go wrong - I still had the safety net of being able to get stuff fixed for free.

I haven't had a remap before so I didn't really have a preference to which one to get - I've read about them on various forums but it seems everyone has a different opinion... I guess its almost like asking which to buy, an Xbox or a PS3...

If your warranty runs out in December then I don't think its really worth paying the extra money to keep the warranty...I'd save yourself the extra money and buy something else with it :)

sykesytdi - you seen like you've had a bad experience of a company and gone to another and not had the same problem so automatically revo must be crap. Some people have experienced it the other way round. There's no need to slate them when they have so many good reviews, (oh and I had custom code on my car btw)

you know how this will go... revo and warranty car will be fine. but pricey.

get a less expensive map and your maf will die by december:D

for me it came done to the friendlyness of the garage and their experience. the which generic map is best argument will go on for ever.

can the dealer give you the free trial before you part with your cash?

:lol::lol:

They are custom code dealers, not software writers.

Our stage 1 is £265.00 all in for members.......do a search and check out customers reviews.

Also, keep in mind we were the first UK tuner to offer 170PD maps. Spent alot of development time on these.

A before and after dyno run is £45.00 if you want to see why we are one of the best software tuners
