and the guy that did my custom code at midland vw has done over 500 maps on various cars so i would hope he knows his stuff???

how many cars do you think revo have mapped?

they are all good maps revo/cc/ptorque et al, all depends on your circumstances and your buying criteria

I had remap on my LCR by a well known & respected tuner... unfortunately it didn't work well with my car. I wouldn't say the map was rubbish and advise nobody else uses the company, as my experience was a minority case. Like Saul says, they're all good, and each has had many many happy customers... unfortunately not every generic map is perfectly suited to every car.

I was in having my rear shocker replaced (under warranty - spotted during the 40k service) when I got onto the subject of the remap.

So I know for sure that they get replaced.

mate i wouldnt go anywhere near revo.... had it put on mine and the car was running crap and really smoking!! after a month of it took it off and had a custom code one put on for 300 quid... the car is now perfect and no smoking... revo is overpriced rubbish in my opinion..... is your car petrol or diesel???

just because you had a bad experience with revo, doesnt mean they are crap. you might be the only one in a thousand who have had a problem for example.

mine doesn't smoke a bit with my revo map. gutted!! can't beat loads of black smoke! only problem i have is it doesn't go as well if you stick your foot to the floor as apposed to just short of putting your foot to the floor. I need a custom map with the new fmic and the exhaust which will be in the near future.

If you have mentioned in this forum that you are or will be mapped and something fails and Seat can pin it down to your remap your warrant is VOID!! Fact, sorry to say I've been there and Seat can and in my experience do read this forum!!!

^^ My thoughts exactly.

If Seat have said that it will NOT void the warranty if they perform the remap then thats that. Get it in writing and you'll be fine I would have thought.

i simply stated what had happened to me.... just think custom code are better value for money IMO

Yes Sykesy I think we got that one mate.

unsubscribing as this is one of THOSE threads, which will go nowhere.

Deadsetgav - I'd suggest having a search on these forums to make your OWN opinion and choice about what YOU want to do. That way you'll not be angry at someone for telling you something that may or may not be correct.
