main thing is they are offering to keep your warranty going... most dealers wont.

maybe ask if theyll remove the map and money back if it smokes?

their price is steep but it is a dealer , and its all above board warranty wise.

sounds like you were planning a remap anyway. who would you have gone with if they hadnt mentioned it?

Gotta agree with traumapat, having a remap is something that 99.9% of he time will void the dealer warranty

I have to ask, why would a main dealer sell a product that would void there own warranty?

Seems like dodgy ground to me. I would be asking for it in writing that the warranty is not void if the remap is done, otherwise i wouldn't touch it, as SEAT uk would then have a record of the remap.

If the map was done elsewhere, they would know about the remap, unless they had to plug the car in to search for mapping problems.

which warranty though garage or extended.... mine is with black horse extended

oh dear o dear o dear! I used to have their extended warranty if you get a problem prepare yourself lol When my MAF died on my Astra Coupe which caused a throttle position sensor fault also I called up these numpties paid £75for a diagnostics at their recommended garage 27 miles away from home and they told me it was wear and tear although it was electrical ??!? Anyways they stuffed me big time and ended up costing me over £700 to repair! I hate aftermarked extended warranties they are effing useless.

Another story a guy at my work with a megane tdi had his turbo go faulty. They also told him due to a stone being sucked in and twanging the blades they wouldnt cover it and he too lost out.

Im currently using eSure mechanical breakdown cover which im paying £18 a month for so il see if im a sucker again when i come to claim :)

Deadsetgav - I'd suggest having a search on these forums to make your OWN opinion and choice about what YOU want to do. That way you'll not be angry at someone for telling you something that may or may not be correct.

Ok - I checked the Revo website and found a local modshop - I called in and asked how much they modded for. Basically it was the same price as i had been offered.

Took it in this morning to SEAT Oldham and got it back at lunch - Only had chance to have a quick blast in it so far (up to my arse in decorating) but from what I've seen so far I am really, really impressed.

I will be taking it for a decent run tomorrow. :)

Thanks for the info folks!
