Don't know about South Yorkshire but I've found small family owned / local owned dealers better than chains. Bit like picking a vet I steer clear of the cash cow businesses. The chain business are less likely to provide quality staff if the managers don't have a personal interest in its success. It's what I enquire of dealers and vets
. Reckon it applies to home appliance maintenance business as well. Euronics v Currys etc. Cooperative venture v monopoly. There are exceptions to the rules, might get good staff labouring against useless management or every thing perfectly working. Having a local vested interest in its success rather than distant owners does count for something.
