Seat Ibiza 6J SC (2008) – Driver Side Window Motor Reference Number

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the correct OEM reference number for the driver side (front left) window motor on a 2008 Seat Ibiza 6J SportCoupe (3-door, 1.2 gasoline 70 cv / 51 kW).

Unfortunately I don't have the know how to disassemble the door and look up the ref myself, and I can't pay for that at the moment.

I know that this part is shared across other VAG models (like the VW Polo 6R and Skoda Fabia 5J), and that there are several revisions of the same motor (different suffixes such as B, P, N, DS, DT, etc.).

What I’d like to confirm is:

Which reference number(s) are correct for my model/year.

If later revisions (with different suffixes) are fully compatible as replacements.

Any tips for sourcing a good used one from another VAG model. I asked around and 6R0959801B & 6R0959801P seem to be compatible but I am worried that those do not work with the SportCoupe 3-door model that I have.

Thanks a lot in advance! Any help from someone who has done this swap would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately all the sites I used to rely to check part numbers are too confusing now, they used to have annotations.

One thing I know don't buy UK version, doesn't work in other countries cars.

When I replaced I removed one part number and put another more recent in mine and it worked fine so I think they are compatible between them, the difference is the new one has one click closing with ignition off and the older one didn't, only with ignition on.

There seems to be no distinction between 3 and 5 doors only left vs right driver position

Thank you so much dm222, would that one work in SC 3-door variant? My thinking is that maybe the motor I need for my 3-door car is specially designed to control only 2 windows, and other motors won't work because they are programmed to open 4 and that might cause conflict. Do you think this is the case?

the site doesnt list any difference between 3 and 5 doors so I dont think there is a difference

Just connected VCDS to my car and here are my parts numbers (5 doors):

the Q was a replacement (for right door), so at least those should be compatible for left door (driver side non UK cars):
